School started a couple of weeks ago and so everyone's schedule has changed. It's nice and predictable now, but it's also very busy. Wedding plans have shifted into high gear. Josh and Erin are just a month away now from their wedding date which is September 25th.
Chet and Annie are also still planning on December 3rd. Chet is still working and Annie picked up a new job at a restaraunt. She's working there until she gets her financial planning certifications finished. A local firm has hired her, but she wont begin working until she gets the certifications done. Chet is still working as a swim coach and as an instructor, he starts fall semester at MCC tomorrow. He and Annie spend as much time together as they can. They are really working hard to get ready for their wedding.
Erin and Josh seem to have most of their arrangements made. I am excited to see her go through the temple for the first time. Zac had a couple of sick days but only missed one football practice. He hated not being there. His first JV game is on the 3rd of September. It looks like he will be the starting center. Zac seems to be enjoying school.
Tonight we attended Court of Honor for both Zac and Jacob. Zac got several merit badges and is very close to earning his Life Scout rank. Jacob is just a requirement or two away from earning his Tenderfoot. Jacob seems to enjoy school well enough. He also spends a lot of time with friends.
Stacie is still getting all the tennis she can and while she doesn't enjoy her job so much, she at least likes being busy. I don't blame her for not enjoying another year of attending jr. high school. She is hoping to upgrade to a better job. I don't think it will take too long. My job has become very busy. We're almost done with the game I've been working on for nearly two years.
We hope everyone is well. I'm looking forward to some cooler weather, though it will probably be another month before it cools off. Have a happy Labor Day!
Love,
-The Lakes
