Lake family news letter

Hello from the Lakes!
Actually, I am not a Lake. My name is Courtney, I am dating Chet and I have become a good friend of this family. I came to have dinner with the Lakes and offered to take dictation of this families dealings, the fun and the news. So here we go!
Jacob recently had an orchestra concert; it was a big success! Afterwards, Jacob's orchestra teacher told us he needed to 'feed' his violin so it could become a viola. Meaning, Jacob has grown enough to own a full-size viola. Jacob is also taking tennis lessons and loving the sport! He also went on the Father and Sons campout. It was a very cold, but fun opportunity for Dad and Jacob. Thankfully they both endured! Infact, Zac wanted to go on the Father and Sons with Dad and Jacob, but there were issues with logistics and football.
Zac now eats, drinks and sleeps spring football! He is working hard to do well and really loves the game. Zac is really excited for school to be out, working hard to keep his grades up and is enjoying spending time with his friends. He also has youth conference and scout camp to look forward to. Zac had an a fun opportunity to pick out some baby cloths for Erin's baby with Mom. They are very cute, and good picks for one who is soon to be a new member of the family.
As for Chet there are a few new things as well. We have been dating for about two months now and doing well. Chet finished another semester at ASU with good grades and is starting a summer semester at MCC. He also switched his major to Kinesiology. He is loving his job and doing well with the kids. Though the family says he is never home, 'Practising living away' as Jacob says, I see him quite often.
As for Stacy and Boyd, they are the Law! They are caught up in the fun of work and helping their kids learn about life, the gospel, the 'should's and 'should not's. Boyd recently had a very enjoyable birthday, and the family started swimming last week! But the pool will have to wait since we have had a 'cold spell'.
Everyone had a very good opportunity to attend the Gila Valley temple dedication today. They greatly enjoyed the speakers. There were many sturring stories, and the spirit was strong. This family is very close and enjoys one another. They have their ups and downs, their rules and their moments of relaxation. But when it all comes down to it, I think this family has much to be greatful for, and has a bright future ahead. So hello from the Lakes! And we hope all of you are doing well.
